A warm yellow heart medallion with seed beads that hold a memory of a loved one lost. Mourning jewellery pieces were made popular after the death of Prince Albert in 1861, when Queen Victoria had a ring made using his picture, initials and black enamel on gold. These rings soon became used to memorialise a loved one all over Europe- using a piece of hair, a photograph or initials.
